Cannonball Jellyfish

At south Myrtle Beach, I was able to collect 9 cannonball jellyfish. They showed up very quickly one night, as then basically dissapeared after that. I only saw a total of maybe 10-12 on the beach, including what I collected. An interesting thing to note is that these jellies were sexually active adults, as I found eggs and planula. In the winter I collected several specimens of equal size who were not active at all, and i was not able to find a trace of any egg or planula. I have a few dishes of the planula now, hoping they settle out.
