Tripedalia cystophora

The Box Jellyfish Tripedalia cystophora was first offically documented in US waters in september 2009, in Boca Raton Florida. Since then, these box jellies which are closely associated with mangrove prop root habitats have been found primarily on the south west coast of the state, with a new sighting this september 2011 in Big pine key
