Polyorchis penicillatus in south Monterey Bay

Description and Comments

Saw hundreds, if not thousands, of Polyorchis penicillatus today. Many were stuck by the aquarium at Hopkins Beach, but even more over by Wharf 2 and the shale beds. They were all in the upper 10 feet of the water column, observed while diving. A few sea nettles were seen in front of the aquarium.
