Starfish and Sea Cucumbers

There were quite a lot of both organisms. Enough that it appalled me. Tons and tons of red starfish (Asterias forbesi?). Perhaps they were mating because it was common to see large piles or aggregations of them. We probably saw close to a thousand or more present throughout the beach.

Lots of Sea Cucumbers as well. These were less organized, and seemed to be more subjected to the tide. Rolling piles of debris seemed to have many of the cucumbers rolling with it. Having a hard time finding the species of this cucumber but I have attached an image I took of them. There were probably 200-500 easily.
