Description and Comments
Very abundant jellyfish bloom at JIquilisco Bay, a Ramsar site. One dominant species looks like Lobonema. Water temperature a little colder than usual (27.8o Celsius). Chaetocerus (diatom) abundant. Also, many sea turtles seen at the Bay, more than usual. Image from site, but previous date.

Frequent jellyfish blooms
Frequent jellyfish blooms occur at Jiquilisco Bay, during dry season (november-march). This current bloom is very intense. The only dominant Genus is Lobonema. More sights of sea turtle (hawksbill) around water surface. Water temperature 27.8o Celsius. Chaetoceros (diatom) also, dominant in phytoplankton.
