Polyorchis penicillatus shows up in Monterey Bay

The first Polyorchis I've seen this year, right on time for their usual February appearance. Lots of juveniles ~1cm diameter. Don't usually see them in the offshore slicks but I feel like we found them a couple weeks early and with the juveniles present this may be the very beginning/first sighting of the bloom.
