pink jelly

Swimming at LIdo Beach, Sarasota, FL last week (8/13, maybe 27th) when stung on upper leg by a jellyfish with a pinkish top, maybe 5x8", about 4x4" leg blisters, felt like electricity, was in saltwater when stung of course, showered after, put vinegar, aloe, antibiotic ointment on after that, next day only faint remains, entirely gone after a few days, no pain shortly after sting. Lifeguard said news reported bunch of them north of us. Many tiny stings as well, felt like about 20, with red marks remaining a few days, which is common locally. Gulf was slightly choppy, I was out maybe 100 yes, lifeguard closer to shore said he felt nothing. Usually clean sea, sometimes rays sighted. Some smallish, 6-8" fish around daily at this time.
