Stung by small cotton ball like transparent jellyfish off Hollywood beach florida

This morning I snorkeled off the beach to the reef about 50 tp 80 feet, water was clear except for these tiny jellyfish, which are easy to miss, hard to avoid, got stung. Wonder what they're called.

The description of your medusae sounds much like a Carybdea, or box jellyfish, which have been recently reported in your area. The stings are very painful. How painful was your particular sting?

Thank you for the photo! I didn't see any tentacles though (sorry about my ignorance about these creatures).
That's fine. They are hard
That's fine. They are hard to see in the first place and their tentacles are sometimes not extended for feeding, not to mention they are nearly invisible creatures altogether. Thanks for your friendly communication and report!
