First jellies of 2015
Description and Comments
Went for a SUP from Grey Rocks Island to Cates Park and spotted 1 Aurelia labiata (BD<5cm) and 2 Cyanea capillata (BD~10cm). These are the first medusae I've seen this season, although someone did tell me that they saw a "purple one" (likely C. capillata) in Deep Cove a little more than a week ago.

Hey Lucas I commented on your other sighting as well. Keep me updated if you see moons, especially a bloom as I am hoping to add a couple to my jelly aquarium.
Thanks!
