Description and Comments
Received a sting from a jellyfish that was spotted and appeared to be a Mauve Stinger. Instant seering pain as soon as it touched my feet and ankles. It washed up and wrapped around my feet in the rough surf. Left behind a purplish beaded tentacle on my feet. The intense burning lasted about 2 hours with some numbness and lots of swelling around the welts.
