Mnemiopsis leidyi Novigrad, Croatia

There was onshore wind the whole day before and when we went snorkeling in the evening, there were dozens of M. leidyi in the water, close to the shore. Rather big ones; swimming out about 15 meters from the shore, we counted about 100 specimens. There will sure have been more in the water. Didn't see a single ctenophore in the weeks before we spent at that place (camping site near Novigrad, Croatia).
