frozen jellyfish

went down to the beach this morning and saw lots of frozen jellyfish, they were all about the same size and scattered along the beach. I do not know how far along they were scattered, but it was as far as I could see. The beach is shallow and mostly sandy with stones at the top and always windy, it has been very cold here and there was ice along the tide line. The jellyfish were approx 12" across and 18" long with a rounded top and thick tentacles, the body had a thin black line around it and the body was a white colour. I have taken some photos and will try to send them to you, I am having trouble at the moment as the files are too big to attach and it won't upload a zip file.
