Confused at first

My day and I were running down the shore and I kept seeing these little blue things and they kind of looked like baby jellies but I wasn't too sure or concerned, but I was curious. I didn't let her touch them after one stung me (it didn't really hurt) but we ended up playing in the sand instead because there were hundreds.
