Higher than usual moon jellies in La Monserrate beach in Luquillo, PR.
Description and Comments
Even though August is the month the moon jellies come up to shore, since the last week of July they have come up to the shallows in a higher than usual amount in the waters of La Monserrate, Luquillo beach. Most are the size of a dinner plate and outside of a couple of clear patches on the beach it was very difficult not to be surrounded by them!!! Most people stayed on shore and this included the locals! The surroundings were as per usual...warm caribbean water...
