Numerous juvenile Cyanea

Description and Comments

Went for a ~1.5 hour cruise on the paddleboard in the early afternoon and spotted 20-30 lion's mane jellies (Cyanea capillata). Most were ~1-2 meters below the surface and were ~10 cm in diameter, indicating they're juveniles as they can easily grow to 50 cm in the area. Highest density was in the shallower part of Deep Cove near the public dock. Weather was sunny and sea was calm, with a strengthening breeze.
