Chrysaora plocamia

This sighting was in Tunga, we perform a 10 minutres trawl with an Engel net and when we recober the net we realize we have more than 3,000 kg (3 tons) of Chrysaora, this place is located within "Bahia Independencia" like more or less 250 km southward Lima, during summer time tou have big very big blooms, we also sumerge a ROV and we realize that below the thermocline were like hundreds of hundreds of this jellyfish, we also use en EK 60 Simrad ecosounder and with the single target detections mode we calculate like 500,000 tons just in this bay.
