Multiple Beached Canonball Jellies - Corolla, OBX

Description and Comments

A ton of canonball jellies washed up overnight and throughout the day on 9/8/2020. We witnessed them scattered over the course of 1 mile of beach but may have continued further down the beach. Encountered approximately 1-5 jellies stuck in or laying on the sand about every 3 meters. The weather was overcast, mid 70s Fahrenheit, with light to medium wind. Ocean conditions were moderate (yellow flag). They next day there were a few left but all were gone by 9/10.
