Velella washed up in St Ives, Cornwall
Description and Comments
Spotted on the tideline yesterday on Porthmeor beach, StIves, Cornwall, England, large numbers of Velella Velella, most of them translucent, some of them still blue. Nearly all were 5 cm long, some longer. The wind had been strong the previous day, blowing from the west.
