Fried egg jellies

Description and Comments

Over the past 15 years I have only seen an occasional solitary fried egg jelly (Phacellophora camtschatica) in Indian Arm. However, this year they appear to be relatively quite abundant, often with a dozen or more visible at a time. They are mostly >20cm BD at this point.
There are also still quite a few moon jellies (Aurelia labiata) around, but interestingly I've seen virtually no lion's manes (Cyanea capillata) this year.
