Jellyfish sting - Holden beach, NC

Swimming a bit north of the pier at Holden Beach today and was stung in the back by a jellyfish.

Not sure which type, but in addition to the typical redness / sting that I've felt before from minor stings or bumpIng into a jellyfish, I received some indentations / dark red marks that looked more like suction cup marks and they swelled up more than other stings. I didn't see it, so I'm not sure why type it was.

We saw several clear bell type jellyfish washed up on the beach yesterday so it seems there are several around currently.
