Bitten by jelly fish

At balmoral beach today, 12 sep 2015, when I was swimming, a wave of something pink in colour passed over me, leaving a stinging feeling on my face,... I returned to the shore.. To see my cheeks swollen a bit and itching for the rest of the day. I was told by others in the beach that there are lot of jelly fish in the beach
