Hi Eric, great find, this appears to be a species of Chrysaora. It could be C. chinensis but I have not heard of it being reported that far west in New Guinea. It could also be Sanderia malayensis if it has 16 of the little 'dots' (rhopalia) around the bell margin... but I only see 8 in this photo. Do you have more photos?
