Description and Comments
As a professional spearfishing guide I am pretty used to the creatures that inhabit he waters in and around Panama. However over the last month during every single dive in 3 different locations on both sides of the country I have seen multiple very small jellyfish that appear to be some kind of box jelly. Further research online has not found me a match to any of the known species we have. All were approximately 2-3cm across and 3-4 in length, within 6 inches of the surface.

Very interesting report.
Very interesting report. There are definitely box jellies in those waters (See this article for some of the science, but no photos http://rspb.royalsocietypublishing.org/content/277/1680/493.full.pdf). If you can get some snapshots, we could have some people look at them for you. A picture of something (at least somewhat) like Carybdea xaymacana is here: http://au.news.yahoo.com/thewest/a/-/breaking/8398845/stingers-swarm-th…
