Comb jellies in Cape Cod Bay

Description and Comments

Saw a bloom of comb jellies from a sail boat. Mostly what look like Mnemiopsis, but maybe also some Beroe. They were just below the ocean surface in a density of about 3-8 per square meter. Don't know full extent, but we sailed through them for 10-15 minutes at 2-3 knots. Winds were very low and water was flat.
