Hi, Took my dog to the beach today only to find it covered by jellyfish, 100's of them, all sizes. I don't know if they were dead or still alive but we had to leave, which was sad. She had already rolled on a dead crab and thought she might try out one of them and get stung.

Well, they did look like moons. They ranged in size from 2" -10" and there were some really big ones just off shore in the water. Do that type sting? Thanks for your reply.

That sounds about right. They don't sting / have a very mild sting that you would really only feel on your lip or somewhere sensitive.
