Sturgeon on Ocean Beach, San Francisco

Hi, I found this dead sturgeon while walking on the beach in Ocean Beach I surf here and I have see weird animals before but never a Sturgeon. It appeared it had a shark bite that broke its tail (my speculation) I know there used to be Sturgeons around here before all of this development took place, but had no idea there were any left anymore. It was about 4 feet 9 or eight inches long. Sad to see it dead, probably was only a teenager. Is it normal to see them in San Francisco? Did not have any tags
