Velella in Bodega Bay, CA -- 7/25/15

After a "lull" in Velella sightings, we spotted a few small Velella washed up on Salmon Creek Beach in Bodega Bay, CA, on 25 July 2015. They ranged in size from ~12 mm long (see photo) to ~25 mm long. We counted ~8-10 Velella total.
