Ocean city MD jelly apocalypse

Hundreds of thousands of tiny jelly like creatures lining the shore and floating as if they were tiny ice cubes, not sure what they are but they look like they have tiny brains. They have lined the shore so heavily people are actually stepping and almost slipping and falling down.

I'm here in Bethany Beach,
I'm here in Bethany Beach, Delaware right now and we're seeing these washing up and floating close to shore in the thousands. They're not jellies, they're called salps, or tunicate salps. They're apparently chordates, which are more closely related to humans than jellies are.
