Hundreds of marble-sized clear jellies
Description and Comments
These lovely marble-like jellies have already been reported in California (2011). The description is perfect: "small, clear, perfectly round, marble sized balls with two brown lines inside similar to a light bulb filament and pale white stripes on." The ID, ctenophore, does not fit. What are these? I saw them at Ballston Beach, Truro, MA.

There are lots of different ctenophores, and that sounds exactly like Pleurobrachia pileus.
Thanks for the report! Interesting to know.
