Man o'War on Miami Beach: Mid-Beach

Washed ashore and lying in a bed of sargassum seaweed at 9:00 a.m., this Man o'War was quite alive. I moved the seaweed aside to see more of the jelly and rinsed it with sea water. There was a second jelly in the same condition about thirty feet or so away. The lifeguard thought the sightings were unusual because the winds were opposite of what normally bring the Man o'War to that area of Miami.
