Humboldt County, CA: Velella velella beaching
Description and Comments
A large number of the blue jellyfish were observed along the wrack line. The beach is on the South Spit (Table Bluff County Park). Some of the jellyfish were desiccated, but many were still in "good" condition (i.e. hadn't been on the beach that long). We have had high winds and tides for the last two days. I do a beach bird survey through COASST.org (U. of Washington). I walk this beach once a month.

That is great to get a COASST
That is great to get a COASST sighting, and especially from that little-visited region (as far as our database is concerned). Much appreciated.
