Cable Beach bloom of tomato jellys

On Cable Beach this morning I sighted a large wash up of tomato jellyfish that appeared to go a long way along the coast. There has been a lot of fires around Broome recently with ash along the shoreline from burnt acacias, which may be contributing to nutrients in the water column. Broome is experiencing spring tides so this may be a factor too.
