Hundreds of Jellyfish wash onto Pacifica State Beach

There were hundreds of small jellyfish washed ashore all over Pacifica State Beach. Does anyone know why and what type they are?

Are they juveniles? Their tentacles are missing. They also have things that look like combs. They look different from the Scrippsia. This may be because of being on the beach.

I would say they look different from having rolled around on the beach. Someone else uploaded a bunch of pictures and in these you can see the "gastric cirri" (which look sort of like comb rows, but they are also lacking tentacles. http://jellywatch.org/node/2720
