large beaching of Medusa velella (part 2)

i returned to the beach today, the beaching still continued. but when we arrived most of what was on the beach was older, from yesterday. now, dead and bleached. the sea had more waves today. yesterday was very calm and most of the velella were on shore, or in the water right next to the shore. today, when i went out swimming, first time for the year, i ran into large bunchs spread out over a wide area. later in the afternoon they started washing ashore again. this time i took pictures. :D i will load them up once i can shirk them down to size...
