Ocean Shores beach Washington

Description and Comments

We went to the beach at low tide. The wind was very strong throughout the weekend. I spotted one velella and examined it;not sure of what it was. I showed my son and grandson and we left it as an "I don't know". We continued toward the water and soon we were seeing them every few feet! I examined one more closely, turning it over and looking at the bottom decided it was some sort of jellyfish. It made my 4 yr old grandson's first visit to the ocean more exciting.
The beach was mainly clean; there were a few isolated spots where there was garbage left behind. It left us disgusted and discouraged in fellow humans.😡
