2 small mauve stingers (pelagia noctiluca) and 3 fried egg (cotylorhiza tuberculata) jellyfish (BTW do jellyfish dreams count?)

the water was exceptionally clear and calm today so i could see what was out there. this is huge contrast to the past two days before that, where visibility was down to about 1-4 meters, there was a strong west to east current, decent sized sea waves, with a medium wind. i would not have seen a jellyfish unless i bumped heads with it. this time that water was the type that i love, calm and clear. visibility was at least 20 meters. no waves, no wind, and little if any current.

the two mauve stingers were small and near the shore. the fried egg jellyfish were scattered throughout my swim. one was missing its entire underside, like it had been attacked and eaten. only the head remained, though it was still swimming about. another was slightly damaged, but had 3-4 little fish friends with it.

i dreamt of 4 very large jellyfish the other day. my first jellyfish dream. they were huge! about 3-4 meters across and moved aggressively. :D
