large infestation is gone. 2 mauve stingers (pelagia noctiluca) and one moon jellyfish (aurelia aurita)

i went for my usual 20-25 minute swim with mask and snorkle. i only saw 3 jellyfish. more or less, average. this is a huge contrast from just a couple of days ago.

there was virtually no wind and the water was pretty calm. the current was still east to west. the water was much clearer in general, though lots of natural debris floating. in the past two days the beach has finally restored itself, suddenly removing most of the debris, sea grass and such, that had built up on the beach after an unusual storm in the spring.

i also saw pierre the octopus today again... :D
