large area of Velella velella
Description and Comments
We were at Ocean Beach in San Francisco, CA, on 6/7/2015, around 6:30 pm and the area within about 20 feet of the water had hundreds of velella velella. We didn't see any wash up while we were there so it must have happened earlier in the day or the weekend.
