Ctenophore (Venus's Girdle) sighted and film in Greece

Description and Comments

A Ctenophore, Venus's Girdle was seen close to shore at Rhodes Island, Greece. The water temperature was 25 degrees, depth of the animal 3 feet approx. Depth of the water was about 2 metres as it was caught in a current passing a rocky drop off. It was approx 3 feet long, had coloured irridescent cilia visible. I filmed it, and the video is available.
