sighting of a Rhizostoma pulmo

my wife had a sailing class with her students this morning and found a large Rhizostoma pulmo on the beach on the bay of st tropez. unfortunately, she could not get a photo of it. it was about 25cm (8in) across and fairly heavy. the weather is very calm, almost too calm for sailing, and hot, about 33C (90f).
