another large beaching of Medusa velella (plus others)
Description and Comments
following several days of high winds and semi-stormy weather we were finally able to return to the beach, despite some winds. we found that there was another mass beaching of the floating medusa velella. there was also what looked to be a moon jelly washed up on the beach. but most interesting for my wife and i was there was something new that we had never seen before, and her being a native to the area. she discovered on the internet that it was a violet sea snail. there were several dozen washed up, as well as hundreds of the medusa velella. i will upload a picture.
