Lake Merritt Walk 5/29/12

I have been walking a bit on lake Merritt at least a few times a week for at least a month or so. This is the first time I have seen jellies! I counted ten of them, they were all at least six inches across. They were in the shallow water near algae blooms or in them, most had the oral surface facing up.
