Aequorea, Beroe, Bolinopsis, Pleurobrachia (Suffolk, UK)
Description and Comments
One Aequorea stranded on mudflats - no much left of it (pictured), one in shallows. Couple of small c.2cm Beroe in shallows, couple of Pleurobrachia washed-up or in shallows. One larger specimen of what is probably Bolinopsis infundibulum in shallows - c.7cm length, completely transparent (Beroe is pink), did not have `letter-box' like mouth which Beroe has, also pointed end different shape to Beroe. Pic shows this specimen - sorry it's not much good!
