Description and Comments

The jellies are really starting to show up in Oban now. The guy was right - I'll "not be bored." Many of the big female Cyanea capillata are brooding planulae now. I have been seeing about 5 or so specimens per day lately, but today I saw about 20. There were the usual 50+ moon jellies, Aurelia aurita. But the Big score of the day was a great big Rhizostoma octopus (see the picture). This one was a male I'm hoping to find a female soon... I'd like to start a fresh culture of them if I can.
