Various jellies - Kyle of Lochalsh, Scotland

Description and Comments

c.20 hand-sized Cyanea lamarckii (yellow and purple varieties), 2 Aurelia, a few small jellies (2-5cm) with `cross' pattern on bell, a few thimble-shaped jellies (c.1cm). Comb jellies - a few large specimens c.15cm, lobed so probably Bolinopsis, also many Pleurobrachia. Seen from `Seaprobe Atlantis' glass-bottomed boat tour. Photos show yellow Cyanea lamarckii.
