Portuguese Man O War in Myrtle Beach SC

We spotted a Portuguese Man o war floating in the ocean. It washed up on the beach around 12:40 PM today and had long tentacles around 10 feet in length. One of the kids stepped on it and got stung on the foot. We are staying at Sands Ocean Club in North Myrtle Beach SC. We’re not sure if it was dead or alive, but it was found floating on the top of the waves and get washed in.
