Monterey, CA., Pacific Grove

Description and Comments

Turn out past Lovers Point, towards end of Pacific Grove shoreline, witnessed this organism, millions, along sand, shoreline, rocks. I never saw them before, and a man from Austin,Tx stated he thinks they are smaller and similar to ones in Texas. We both def. Thought they were a type of jelly fish. The beautiful blue body and a distinct clear sail, made identifying this species for me, rewarding. I took pictures, but was using a digital camera. Did not grab a photo on my phone.
