right-handed Velella -- Bodega Bay, CA -- 11 May 2016

Among many thousands of left-handed Velella washed ashore in Bodega Bay, CA, on 11 May 2016, I found *one* right-handed Velella (see photo). Most of these Velella were relatively small (1-2 cm long), with a few larger individuals up to ~4-5 cm long.
