Predatory Ctenophore (Beroë Cucumis?)
Description and Comments
This is most definitely a comb jelly, I'm just not sure of the species. It was just about midday when I spotted about three or four beroës in a small rockpool-like area in Reine, Lofoten Islands, Norway. All of them were underwater, but two were in a bad condition. I could clearly see their beating cilia, though the currant seemed to be too strong for them to swim against.
