Physophora hydrostatica in Bodega Bay, California

At least 1, perhaps 3 (or more), "Hula Skirt Siphonophores" (Physophora hydrostatica), washed up on Salmon Creek Beach in Bodega Bay, on 26 April 2015. Sadly, they weren't entire after coming through the surf zone. The beautiful pink dactylozooids had become separated, but I included them in the picture for documentation. This is our first time seeing this species in Bodega Bay.
